TECHNICIANS AND COACHES

The project involves the development of some very topical issues for technicians, articulated over three meetings lasting two hours each and using the innovative CENPIS methodology, which has been applied for years in the school, clinical, business, and sports sectors and in three European Projects.

The project is divided into two modules, each of which has two phases.

Technicians and coaches

Preparing athletes for competition and aiding their acclimatization

Psycho-aptitude assessment of each athlete with battery of tests

  • Stage of psychological and attitudinal development
  • Self-Esteem and Long-Term Motivation.

Motivational meetings and individual and group psychological preparation

  • Individual and group meetings to improve approach to competition and sports activity
  • An initial awareness course for athletes on psychological issues

Specialist desk to address youth sports issues

  • Individual meetings on the relationship with the technician, parents, and peers
  • Individual meetings related to personal sports issues of different kinds.

Conveying the latest scientific findings

Based on direct field observations in years of international experimental study by Prof. Dr. Daniele Popolizio and CENPIS, on the co- scient and unconscious mechanisms that take over in competition in the “individual player’s head” and in the “personality of the group-team” during the competition and that can lead to blockages and psychological disharmonies that prevent the final victory and undermine performance.

Train technical staff and support them in “coaching” mode

Coaches, technical assistants, athletic trainers and medical staff with a short training course conducted with new methodologies and tools suitable for fast learning and “maturative” assimilation, no longer “cognitive”; observing and optimizing the coach-individual athlete-team group relationship to increase its effectiveness and facilitate management; psychologically preparing the coach and his staff to better address and manage the multiple “environmental pressures” to which he is subjected, identifying and strengthening effective personal resources.

Prepare Technical and Sports Directors for advanced managerial management of their field

Providing individualized training and input to identify one’s limitations and resources, enhancing the ability to manage people and means at hand; learning to build a positive, non-confrontational mindset, a “sense of team” that fosters success and overcoming individualism and schematicism.

MODULE A – TRAINING COURSE FOR COACHES AND TECHNICAL STAFF

Phase 1 – The personalized approach to the athlete to the latest findings on race phenomena

Phase 1 – The personalized approach to the athlete to the latest findings on race phenomena

Applied science training with testing of learning of new skills and methodologies.

  • The new reading of the two-level race:
    • Technical, tactical, athletic
    • Psychological unconscious, with the mental mechanisms of victory-loss triggered
  • The psychopathology of sport
  • Mechanisms and methods for optimal learning in training
  • The motivation of the individual athlete and the group – team: the “leadership style”
  • Effective communication with the athlete and the team: the “communication style.”

MODULE A – TRAINING COURSE FOR COACHES AND TECHNICAL STAFF

Phase 2 – Guided practical training and coaching with simulations, tests and questionnaires to discover and optimize one’s resources

Phase 2 – Guided practical training and coaching with simulations, tests and questionnaires to discover and optimize one’s resources

Applied science training with testing of learning of new skills and methodologies.

  • Operational simulation on the interactive dynamics of communication and leadership
  • Training in communication and leadership effectiveness with construction of “staff style”
  • Identification and development of one’s effective psychological resources, stress and conflict management
  • Field monitoring of the coach-athlete-team dynamic.

Module B – Master Coaching for Technical and Sports Directors.

Building the positive climate in the work team and managing the business

Phase 1: Applied science training with testing of learning of new skills and methodologies

> Know the resources and potential of each staff member

> Motivating and managing a work team: leadership style

> Designing and managing an innovative project.

Phase 2: Guided practical training and coaching with simulations, techniques, tests and questionnaires to discover and optimize one’s resources

> Practical simulations of activity setup and management

> The conduct of meetings and the assignment of tasks

> Field monitoring of work dynamics.
